Research Help

Our librarians are ready to assist our University Community with research 7 days a week--in person and online. If you are on campus during library hours, stop by the reference desk. If you are not on-campus, or need help during off-hours, you can use our AskUs Service to submit a question by email or text (917-652-6936) and we’ll deliver an answer in same format.

In addition to services at the Reference Desk, you can also set up a one-on-one consultation with a reference librarian who will advise you on effective research strategies --appointments are available as "face-to-face" meetings and/or online in a virtual meeting room.  Each of the subject specialist librarians -- in addition to an MLS or MLIS -- have subject masters and/or PhD in subject disciplines. Consult a subject librarian for help in locating resources for your research paper, thesis, dissertation or professional research.

For group classes, stop by one of our research-oriented workshops, an educational-technology workshop .  If you or a colleague would benefit from attending a workshop, but you are unable to make any of the scheduled workshop times, please email the workshop presenter (listed on the "register" page) or the LibGuide author (on the "related LibGuide")  to set up a convenient day/time for a one-on-one appointment or to schedule a workshop for your class, club, thesis support group,  fraternity, team, or department,  etc.
